Descriptions

Class Descriptions: *All classes are 60 minutes.

*Please bring a mat, water and a sweat towel to every class, classes that require you to bring anything additional are noted. Extra jump ropes, weights, bands and kettle bells are provided to new clients during the first month. We do ask that if you commit long term, that you bring your personal equipment.

*The GZF class schedule is changed every three months to promote versatility, muscle confusion, and excitement for our members!

"Basix" or Beginner Level: New to GZF? We recommend you begin with classes that have "Beginner Level" options,  and continue until you feel ready to try the other classes. "Basix" will be considered "Stage 1" and appropriate for those looking for a LOW IMPACT class to introduce the foundations of fitness. For classes just labeled "Beginner", expect a challenging workout that covers the basic GZF moves, proper form and major conditioning to get you GZF ready! Loaner equipment provided for first timers.

Young Athletes: Ages 7-12. Using the Combine training system and methods, GZF trainers have formulated this Athlete class(Monday-Strength & Core, Wednesday-Speed & Agility). The focus of Athlete training is power, agility, acceleration, speed, strength, conditioning, and flexibility. You do not need to bring your own equipment. (We also offer "Kidz Camp" ages 3-6 on Tues & Thur 5:30pm listed on Kid's/Youth page.

X-Treme Metabolic Training: High Reps mixed with sprints, plyo, tabata, and HIIT training. Please bring weights (for high rep work) & resistance bands.

The Bodyguard: This explosive workout teaches boxing, self defense drills in a high impact, intense aerbic fashion. Drills, sprints, light wieght, core and plyometrics. Please bring light hand weights.

Fit Conditioning: A complete and total work out focusing on cardio, strength, speed and stamina without the use of weight training. The routine may involve any of the following: Obstacle courses, Med Balls, Four Corners, Plyocide, Battling Ropes & Boxes.

Runs & Guns:  Full body workout that incorporates compound exercises. Your weights are always in your hands and your body is pushed to its' cardio edge. Please bring weights.

TRI-out: GZF's creation of triangular training. Starting from the top- 20 minutes of upper body resistance, then 20 minutes of lower body resistance, ending with 20 minutes of high powered plyometrics. Please bring weights and resistance bands.

Ignite I: Speed training with a twist, using prowler suicide, sled relays, ring, ladder and cone drills.

Ignite II: Power and explosive training that involves weighted box jumps, loaded prowlers, heavy sleds mixed with low reps on free weights and barbells.

Power House:  Dynamic training that integrates high intensity cardio, functional strength, and yoga. Endurance + Strength + Flexibility = Power House

Push, Pull & Explode: GZF's new training method that will involve rounds for time, max reps, pinpoint cardio, and body weight speed drills.

Z-Fit: GZF's spin on dynamic cross training. Focus will be on speed, power, time, and reps....all with perfect form!

The Master: Drills, thrills, sweat spills and muscle builds.... Join us for an intense workout that will morph your body.

Spot Me: This workout will focus on heavy weight, low reps, and will give the body a needed break from high intense cardio. The focus will be on building lean muscle.

Strike Zone:Kickboxing is one of the most popular forms of aerobic exercises. It is highly beneficial for the health and is a great fun to perform. StrikeZone will incorporate a variety of martial arts-inspired stretches, conditioning, kicks, punches, knee strikes and self defense moves. Its high intensity can also aid in losing weight at a fast pace, thereby helping you to achieve your goal of a beautiful, toned body shape.

Tabata: This training is all out craziness! High intense cardio, plyocide, body weight, mixed in with ladder up and ladder down kettlebell exercises. If you have your own kettlebell, please bring it.
